Yakeen Ka Safar

It’s not the first Pakistani drama I’ve watched. Neither is it the best one. But there’s something about it that isn’t leaving me since I’ve watched it.

29 episodes and I wish there were more. May be I crave more of it because of it’s everydayness. Depiction of the little things that fill our daily lives with untimely smiles. May be it’s the portrayal of relationships, (platonic and non-platonic) that tend to leave me with a new thought. Sometimes a new perspective. May be it’s the irresistibly intense performances that are evocative and enjoyable. May be it’s the story-simple yet heart-warming.

Overlooked some technical inadequacies, to allow the show to speak to me. In some way, at some level. Urdu is music to my years. Some stunning landscape visuals added to the charm.

Ending with a lovely dialogue from one of the episodes of the show, “Kabhi kabhi dil chahta hai raasta khatam na ho.”
